Beelzebub.

Beelzebub is one of the supreme monarchs of Hell, co-ruling it alongside Lucifer himself. Much like Lucifer, Beelzebub is a fallen angel, though unlike her brother, she is more refined with a polite attitude. Beelzebub was once banished into the Abyss by Lucifer due to leading a revolt against him, which was successful for a time but failed due to underestimating Lucifer's cunning.

Appearance[]

When Beelzebub first appeared, she made her presence known with her true form, appearing as a grotesque yet terrifying fly beast with a white mane and a skull-like face. Most of the time, people can depict her design as an overweight gorilla with six arms and fly wings that was made to look like a fly as this was befitting to her nature as "The Great Fly" demon.

Her humanoid form has white hair and crimson irises with a cloved tail, with white horns and what appear to be chitin spikes jutting through her hair. Beelzebub wears a completely crimson and white outfit, with a white undershirt, a crimson waistcoat, crimson gloves, and a long crimson blazer. The inner lining of Beelzebub's blazer has a fly-wing pattern. She wears a lot of fly-type trinkets, bracelets, and jewelry.

Despite being female, Beelzebub actually has no specific gender but they do prefer a female form for unknown reasons.

Personality[]

Beelzebub, upon first meeting her, exhibits a grandiose and self-absorbed personality. She would dramatically flaunt her titles and power to those who approach her, mostly mortals, much to their chagrin. Added to that, she is also rather polite and presents herself as a refined woman, treating her guests with hospitality but with her "demonic flair" as Crowley puts it.

Surprisingly, despite being the Bringer of Plagues, Beelzebub has an extreme aversion towards anything that she considers filthy border lining on obsession. This is prominent in where every time Crowley is speaking to her, she would occasionally clean her hands and head, which is actually how real flies clean themselves. And even though she lords over the gluttons, she was not all that happy about her lordship over such a circle.

This is revealed to what have caused the rift between her and Lucifer as she did not believe that it was fair in Lucifer being the sovereign monarch of Hell when they were the ones who did twice as much of the work in the rebellion as he did. Moreover, she grew bitter and resented Lucifer when he appointed her as the ruler of the Gluttonous Circle, and that led her to rebelling against her brother. Although after a few millennia of being banished into the Abyss, Beelzebub was more calm despite still holding a bitter grudge against Lucifer, which subsided by a slight margin when he let her become co-supreme monarch of Hell.

Beelzebub was shown to have quite the amount of trust in Crowley, despite him being considered an outcast even amongst his own kind. While she does tend to be annoyed by his antics, she is fond of his charisma and explains that it is one of the only reasons why she has second thoughts of devouring him, also showing a cannibalistic side to her. Regardless, she has little patience for incompetence and does not tolerate failure.
